Cricket World Cup : Australia beat England to enter semifinal

Australia defeated England comprehensively by 64 runs in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 to secure a semi final spot.

England won the toss and elected to field first. Australia finished on 285/7 from 50 overs with skipper Aaron Finch top scoring with 100 runs. His opening partner David Warner Made 53 runs. Chris Woakes picked up 2 wickets for England.

England in reply kept losing wickets in regular interval and were bowled out for 221 runs. Ben Stokes made a brilliant 89 runs but wasn’t enough to take his team to victory. Jason Behrendorff was the pick of the bowlers for Australia as he finished with the figures of 5-44. Mitchell Starc picked up 4 wickets.
